Q is for Questionnaire

Happy Sunday everyone and what a beautiful one it is…Spring is on the way!

So, the Menopause A-Z weekly blog has hit Q and (because in all honesty, I cannot find a symptom starting with Q), I’m approaching it a little differently this week.  Some of you may have heard of Dr Louise Newson who is a Menopause Specialist and is the creator of the ‘Balance’ app and website that is such a valuable resource to help you track your symptoms and provides loads of guidance and advice.

Follow the Homepage link to view the website.

Anyway… our Q is going to be for Questionnaire – and if you follow the link at the bottom of the page you will find the Menopause Symptom Questionnaire that she has also put together to help you monitor those symptoms.

So, this week isn’t so much a blog as a shout out to this amazing resource.  So many women actually don’t piece together the fact that they are in the perimenopause or menopause phase and write their symptoms off as stand-alone issues.  Some just regard it as a normal part of aging and just accept that’s the way it is.  This is such a shame when there are ways that these things can be managed and improved.

Take a look at Dr Newson’s Questionnaire (I hold no credit for the creation of this document and have added it to my page purely as a resource and a link)

I think that this is a particularly great resource because it asks you to score the severity of the symptom and what I think would be a great idea is to keep one of these each week/month that you can refer back to and take to your GP.  This will allow you to recall and discuss the symptoms that have been most problematic without the symptom of brain fog wiping out any hope of remembering!

There are so many resources out there, do explore them and of course please book your FREE Initial Consultation if you want to explore a Solution Focused pathway.
